Founded in 1977, we specialise in producing quality finishes to an extremely high standard. Since 2007 our core business has been the plating of aluminium components in cadmium over electroless nickel for the defence and aerospace sectors. This specialised commercial work has complimented the technical plating for which Russell Labs earned its reputation back in the 1980’s.
Russell Labs is unique amongst its competitors in being able to offer high volume commercial work as well as retaining that traditional “Jobbing Shop” service for small volume technical work.
Russell Laboratories provides advanced plating and finishing services to many industries such as Aerospace and Defence, Automotive, Medical, Electronics, Cosmetic Work and General Engineering.

In an industry where there is no room for failure and growing pressure to reduce costs Russell Laboratories is the partner of choice to meet the requirements of a challenging industry, We have a bespoke computerised system that gives us control and traceability from goods inward to despatch to meet the requirements of AS 9100 Rev D. Our comprehensive testing and laboratory facilities, which are not generally found in most independent plating operations, allow us to provide our customers with a complete service. The finishes required by this industry generally require protection against the harshest corrosion requirements with the following treatments supported by Russell Laboratories; Cadmium, Zinc Nickel, Anodising, Electroless Nickel, and Stainless Steel Passivation.
